From the security holding the door, to the ladies welcoming us in, to the bartenders serving up our drinks, probably my best happy hour experience. Ashley (our bartender) went above and beyond to recommend drinks that meet our levels of tolerance. And every dish we ordered were gold! There is a little kick to some, but overall, delicious plates with fresh ingredients! Beef patties are a MUST! We had the last 4 for the evening! That just tells you how great they are!
It was a lovely restaurant. The vibe was amazing. it felt like we were in a real Jamaican restaurant on an island. The decor was superb and elegant. The flight was amazing from the Chile wings to the perfect salad and appetizers. The Smothered Chicken and rice were cooked to perfection. The cabbage was delicious. And Rasta Pasta perfection. 10 out of 10 will definitely recommend and go back. The staff was warm and welcoming. The whole experience was very elegant. The Cheesecake with rum sauce 😋.
After a couple years of not visiting Konoko I decided to visit with a friend on a day off. I was still impressed with cleanliness and general atmosphere of the restaurant and the customer service was great! The one thing that I found had not improved was the quality of the food. I had some spicy mango wings, I believe, with a beef patty and salmon bites. The beef patty seemed prepackaged, the wings were hard to the point where I couldn't chew the meat and had to return them. The bar tender and the manager handled the matter quickly, professionally and discreetly, which I thought was very classy. The best of the lot was the salmon bites, which was a replacement offered for the wings that I didn't want. I would definitely recommend the salmon bites because they have always been consistently hot and freshly done every time I have visited. All in all, I would recommend the restaurant doing freshly prepared appetizers especially at the prices they offer. If the appetizers were better, then I would have opted to do dinner here as well but instead left to do dinner elsewhere. The restaurant had a great vibe and staff were all friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be employed there! I would still recommend this restaurant.
In my quick jaunt to Maryland for greenery I finally stopped at a place to eat in the old line state that didn't have a view of the ocean. Nestled in the heart of a bustling shopping district parking may be a bit difficult on a busy Saturday afternoon like we went. The ambiance of this place is immaculate, an outside area , a big bar and an upstairs area. Regardless the size of your party they have a table for you. The wait staff of flight attendants as you will were very nice and knowledgeable on the menu. The best part is anyone walking by will help you out or get something for you if needed. The drinks were mixed with an expert hand the cocktail craftsmanship was truly inspiring and if drinking multiple I assume can be dangerous with how smooth they go down. The food was fantastic and they would've gotten 5 yummies of 5 if they had beef patties. The salmon bites appetizer could be a meal on it's own. The braised oxtails soft but firm cooked to perfection. The rasta pasta with the jerk chicken and shrimp and skimp on the sauce on the side the jerk had me sweating a bit and thats how I knew the chef knew what they were doing if youre in the area and are a yummy boi like myself you will not be disappointed.
I would highly recommend. All of the staff were so friendly, and attentive. The food was excellent, and our server Micheal was great- he gave my husband and I great advice on what’s good , and he did not let us down ! Will definitely be coming back. The oxtail is fall off the bone , and the coconut rum cake is insanely good !
